UP'

Widower Carl (played by whom?) and 8-year-old Russell (played by whom?) took to the skies in the home Carl had shared with his wife and lifelong love in "Up," the 2009 Pixar film. The house in the movie was animated, but an exact replica was created in this suburb by some inspired homebuilders, and a couple of Disney fanatics purchased it in 2011

'BAD SANTA'

When Willie T. Stokes (Billy Bob Thornton) and his partner Marcus (who played him?) set up their next Christmas day heist in this southwestern city, he ends up at the lavish home of a young bullied boy who thinks he's actually Santa. Throughout the crude comedy, the criminal actually helps the boy make some strides in standing up for himself. The house where a lot of the action takes place was quite big and spacious, but one thing is certain — it's not located where the movie is set.

THE HOLIDAY'

This holiday gem was a big hit with romantics when it was released in 2006.Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet portray single women who decide to swap homes (and continents) for one Christmas. Diaz's Amanda is a workaholic in Hollywood who chafes at the quaint surroundings in rural Surrey in England, while Winslet's Iris revels in living in fast-paced L.A. Needless to say, both women end up finding love. But we fell in love with this luxurious mansion in Hollywood.

HOME ALONE'

When 8-year-old Kevin (played by whom?) is famously forgotten when his family leaves on vacation in "Home Alone," he takes it upon himself to booby-trap his house to keep a couple of would-be burglars at bay. The movie is set in the greater Chicago area, but where is the actual home?

SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE'

The houseboat from the 1993 film with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks is, in fact, located in the city named in the movie's title. In 2008, the home was listed for sale
